|
We kicked off 2010 in a fantastic way....
Thursday the 7th of January, judge Rony Doedjins NL, breed entry 44+35. First out was Eros - Elangeni BraveheartRules in a open class). He finished off as 3rd with certificate quality. In Best Male the judge chose to put up all the males from open class as BM1-3, and then the winner and 2nd in Champion Class. So the result was: Best Male: Prästens Athos Gold of Asti - CAC, CACIB, BM2: Zaxxon's Coolking Ciarán, R-CACIB, BM3: Elangeni BraveheartRules, BM4: Ch Emoyeni's Grand Zuberi & BM-R: Ch Ghali Akili af Argos. Then it was time for Gozip (African Braveheart's Gozip Girl) to enter the official show ring for the first time. Gozip did great and was number 1 in her class (9) and was awarded certificate quality. Dandy daughters Gucci, Djungelkattens Gloryridged Gucci and Fanni, Inanda Mellberg Fanagalo both looked great and were awarded red ribbons but no placement in the class (13). Nike (Ch African Braveheart's Fourever Yours) & Maria were last out in Champion class (6), and ended up as 2nd Best Championbitch with CQ. In best bitch the judge had a hard time picking his 5 favourites and it was close that Gozip got a placement, but her "big sister" Nike beat her. Best Bitch: Zaxxon's Coolqueen Chelzie - CAC, CACIB and New Swedish Champion BB2: Tarujen Uyaya Kadamo, R-CACIB (1st in icl, 4 entries) BB3: Ch Rex Ventors Iving (1st in Chcl), BB4: Hayawani Chasasa Sijambo (2nd in ocl) and BB-R: Ch African Braveheart's Fourever Yours. BOB, BIG-3: Zaxxon's Coolqueen Chelzie and BOS: Prästens Athos Gold of Asti. Congratulations to owners/breeders! Friday the 8th of January, judges Bertil Lundgren SE (icl males-ch bitches) and Ove Germundsson SE (puppies & jcl males), breed entry 49+44. This day was a bigger=better ring to show in. Eros really enjoyed showing and I was over the moon when I realized the judge put him as the winner in this huge (15) open class, and we received CQ. When it was time for Best Male I was very nervous as a lot of males (16) had CQ and were going to compete for a placement and 10 males were going for the CAC. The judge then took out his 5 males, Eros and 2nd male in open class were the only ones that would compete for the CAC. Best Male: Ch Evergraces Gladiator Phoenix - CACIB, BM2: Elangeni BraveheartRules - CAC, R-CACIB and NEW SWEDISH CHAMPION!

BM3: Ghali Adani af Argos (2nd in ocl) BM4: Ch Emoyeni's Grand Zuberi (2nd in Chcl) and BM-R: Ch Mankoya's Great Gambo (1st in Veteran class). I was so happy over Eros new Champion title so I forgot that I had Gozip to show in junior classJ. This day Gozip ended up 2nd Best Junior Bitch with Honours Prize (no CQ's were awarded to the junior bitches this day). Dandy daughter Gucci, Djungelkattens Gloryridged Gucci did very well and ended up as 2nd Best Bitch in Hunting Class (no dogs were awarded CQ). Unfortunately Fanni, Inanda Mellberg Fanagalo didn't like showing 2 days in a row, and got a blue ribbon in open class (13). Nike was last out in the Champion class (8), and ended up 3rd with CQ. In Best Bitch there was a lot of running before the judge had made his decision: Best Bitch: Ch Rex Ventors Iving - CACIB, BB2: Ch Galia Awena af Argos - R-CACIB (2nd in Chcl), BB3: NUCh Kangelani's Gentle Loba by Clay - CAC and New Swedish Champion, BB4: Ch African Braveheart's Fourever Yours and BB-R: Karanga's Dee Sign af Lex. BOB, BIG-1: Ch Rex Ventors Iving BOS: Ch Evergraces Gladiator Phoenix. Congratulations to breeders/owners! Then we packed our bags and I met up with Jennie and Shika (SVCh Veldtkammer Royal Hi Ness) for a "quickie" to the Danish Club Show in Hundslund. Maria & Nike went back to Stockholm! Thank you Maria for another great show trip! Saturday the 9th of January, judge breed specialist Sandra Piscedda IT, breed entry 18+29. The day started with a delay over 1 hour due to bad weather...When the show finally started I was a little bit surprised to see that 4 out of 6 puppies were awarded blue ribbons, I've never seen this before. So when I entered the open class with Eros no males in junior class and intermediate class have been awarded excellent. It was a pretty good feeling to win the open class with excellent. In Best Male there were only the Champion males, Eros, number 2 in open class and a veteran male that had been awarded excellent. The judge almost directly put Eros to the side, but I didn't know if that was a good or a bad thing. Suddenly the ring secretary gives me the Danish CAC ribbon and congratulates me to: Best Male: SE UCh Elangeni BraveheartRules - CAC and NEW DANISH CHAMPION! BM2: Ch Inanda Mellberg Edelrood BM3: Ch Tusani Cool Bakari BM4: Ökensandens Poma von Yesekani Then we had a little brake so I could call Eros amazing breeders in Australia, the Elangeni family. I told them that I was going on a holiday to Denmark so little did they know when I called and told them that Eros had made a "double", Swedish- and Danish Champion in 2 days! What an amazing boy they bred! Then it we started with junior bitches (11) and Gozip passed the visitation but didn't like the judges way of "sneaking around" her and we got a KEP ("can not be judged"). I think that maybe it was a little tough show start for Gozip with 3 shows in 3 days?! Jennie and Shika entered the intermediate class, and looked very classy together. Shika looked beautiful and got an excellent! The judge had a very hard time chosing between Shika and another beautiful bitch, but at the end Shika won the intermediate class. I was excited to see Jennie and Shika in Best Bitch. Only 6 bitches had received excellent. After a lot of running, and stacking (it was so hard to stack the dogs on a very slippery carpet, especially if you had a dog with a lot of angulations in rear) the judge had made her mind up: Best Bitch: Ch Kushika Tanami Moya, BB2: Kinyemi Luka F'abiola - CAC and New Danish Champion, BB3: SVCh Veldtkammer Royal Hi Ness and BB4: Ch M'gongo Surú Basobi. Huge congratulations to breeders/owners! Eros topped off the weekend by going: BOB/BISS: SE UCh Dk UCh Elangeni BraveheartRules Judge: Sandra Piscedda, Murenga Kennels BOS: Dk UCh Kushika Tanami Moya I want to thank: The Danish RR Club for a great show, Nada Nikolic (Kennel Kinyemi), for always helping me out. Benny Fisher for great photos: (www.ridgeback-aktiviteter.dk chose, Foto Galleri, Foto 2010, Udstillinger) Cissi Rosqvist, Helene & Ulf Jönsson (kennel Ghali) for great company and the DKK 100 that I still have in my wallet since the food store closed before we were done (but hell, I need to go on a diet). Jennie, for fun and fantastic company and pretty good driving skills! Last but not least my heros that helped me out with my car that didn't want to start after the show; Mads at Kennel Akuzuri, Ane Marie V. Vilhelmsen and Jens Baekgaard! Without you guys you would have been stuck with me foreverJ! |
